CUBMASTER JESSE HAS BEEN DEFEATED BY PEANUT BUTTER.
That’s right, folks. We interrupt your regularly scheduled Scouting adventures to bring you this developing story.
Tonight, Cubmaster Jesse entered the activity with confidence.
He left with peanut butter in his hair.
The Cubs are currently being questioned.
And before anyone asks… YES, he volunteered for this.
What other adult would willingly put a HUGE handful of peanut butter in their hair for a Cub Scout activity?!
Jesse, buddy… we love you. But you really should have read the terms and conditions.
LIVE FROM THE SCENE
Tonight, our scouts were challenged to help Jesse make a peanut butter and jelly sandwich.
The rules were simple:
The Cubs give the directions. Jesse follows them TO A T.
And our scouts? They understood the assignment... well... maybe after....
THE PEANUT BUTTER INCIDENT.
Somewhere along the way, the instructions became a little… unclear.
And Jesse’s hair became the new bread.
THE CUBS HAD NO FURTHER QUESTIONS.
EXPERTS SAY…
This activity was not just about making a sandwich.
It was about learning how to:
- Communicate clearly — Because “put it on” is apparently NOT a complete set of instructions.
- Listen carefully — Especially when the person following directions is holding peanut butter.
- Work as a team — Everyone had a part to play in helping Jesse complete the task.
- Solve problems — When things went sideways, our scouts had to think, adjust, and try again.
- Be patient — Sometimes learning means slowing down and figuring things out together.
And perhaps the most important lesson of all…
If you want someone to do something correctly, you better be prepared to explain EXACTLY what you mean.
FINAL UPDATE
Cubmaster Jesse is expected to make a full recovery.
The sandwich has been completed.
The Cubs have learned valuable life skills.
And Jesse has learned that volunteering for a Cub Scout activity comes with risks.
