Welcome to Cub Scouting, Lion!

The Lion rank is the beginning of your Scout’s Cub Scout adventure. Designed for kindergarten-age youth and their adult partners, the Lion program introduces Scouts to the fundamentals of Scouting through fun, hands-on activities, adventures, and family participation.

Throughout the year, Lions will explore, discover, create, and learn while developing confidence, teamwork, responsibility, and a love for the outdoors. Each adventure is designed to be age-appropriate and engaging while introducing the values found in the Scout Law and Scout Oath.

What to Expect

The Adult Partner's Role

Lion Scouts are accompanied by an adult partner who participates alongside the Scout during Lion activities. This partnership helps create a positive first Scouting experience while allowing the Scout to gradually develop independence and confidence.

The Lion year is all about having fun, trying new things, and beginning the journey of becoming a Scout!
