Tri-Cities Day Camp 2026 - Winging It: Crash Landing Survival
Cub Scout Pack 117 had an unforgettable adventure at the 2026 Tri-Cities Winging It – Crash Landing Survival Camp!
Scouts spent two action-packed days developing real-world outdoor and survival skills, including water purification, foraging, first aid, archery, slingshots, BB shooting, navigation, shelter and fire building, woodworking, leatherworking, and engineering challenges. They also learned from the Benton Franklin Sheriff Posse Search & Rescue team and put their courage to the test with the ultimate survival challenge—eating roasted crickets!
Through hands-on activities, teamwork, creativity, and plenty of laughter, Scouts built confidence and skills while creating memories that will last a lifetime. Our Scouts truly look forward to Day Camp each and every year, but this year the fun, excitement, and adventure just kept on going from start to finish.
None of this would have been possible without the countless hours of planning, preparation, and hard work from the committee members and volunteers who gave their time and energy to create such a memorable experience for our youth. Pack 117 extends a huge thank-you to the dedicated Blue Mountain Council Day Camp committee, station leaders, and volunteers whose countless hours made this incredible experience possible!
